Assistant General Manager, M&A & Investment

Responsibilities:

Lead a dedicated team to plan, execute, and manage investment projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
Oversee the Capital Expenditure (Capex) Control Function, including the development of the Five-Year Plan (5YP), Annual Budget, and ongoing budgetary controls to ensure financial discipline and accountability.
Collaborate with the Line President to conduct periodic assessments of investment effectiveness, utilizing performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and optimize resource allocation.
Manage the Tax Compliance and Planning function of the company, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities for tax efficiency and risk mitigation.
Conduct thorough due diligence and financial analysis to support M&A activities. Facilitate post-merger integration processes to ensure seamless transitions and realization of synergies.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, legal advisors, and industry partners. Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.

Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Major/Subject: Business, Finance & Accounting or equivalent
8-10 years of relevant experience in similar capacity
Fluent English is a must; Cantonese & Mandarin preferred
Big 4 background is preferred
Professional Accounting Qualification: HKCPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent is desirable
Mobility to travel for business
